Apart from catching the flu & getting my phone stolen (for the 2nd time) I had a wonderful, jam packed weekend. Main reason being a shoot I did with my amazing, dear friend Mo Ayyd (http://www.moayyad.co.uk).

I've had visions for months of shooting somewhere with endless space but with an apocalyptic feel. So we drove down to Kent, which was recommended by some friends and it totally blew my mind. We literally felt like we were in the middle of a film set the whole time. So many amazing photo opportunities.

Here's a little teaser below of me & the fro that is Mo taken by the lovely Steve on Instagram, who was also filming on the day ( another little surprise to come). And 3 other epic shots taken by Mo... also on Instagram!

So yesterday I went into the amazing Fish Factory studios with my band and engineer . We ate, we laughed, we drank and we created some pretty good daymn music. I cant wait for you all to hear it.

So last night I performed at 'The art of Black' event in Paris at the gorgeous Mansion 'Hotel Particulier' for the whiskey brand Johnnie Walker. I knew nothing about the brand before, as I'm a red wine girl at heart. But after last night, I think whiskey sours will now be my cocktail of the month.

And finally, to end the night, I had one of the "artists" paint a circle made of gold leaf, on my chest.

(I later found it takes 3 whole days to wash off. No low cut tops for the next few days then!)

Gig In Istanbul !!!

To all my fans in Turkey... I will be holding a show with my full band on Friday 16th December '11 at Garajistanbul, Istanbul as part of the Escape the music series by Avea. I will be performing exclusive new material, as well as some tracks from my debut album 'Memoirs'!

Hello Everyone...

I'M BACK.

I know it may seem as though I have been hiding under a rock forever, but I've finally come out of hibernation and I'm ready to play:) This year has literally whizzed passed. I've blinked ( a few times) and now its November, how the hell did that happen? One thing I have learnt this year, is life can be a bitch. I've had so many highs and lows, I feel like a living, breathing yoyo. But I'm still here, alive, doing what I love, with people that I love, so I will not for a second complain. Life is what you make it.

So first things first, I am writing a 2nd album and have been for the past year on & off. The songs are sounding hot like fire & I have the most amazing new band by my side that have made it all complete.

And to those that are wondering, I am unsigned, unmanaged & unpublished. Its a very long story, but thats all it is, a story. My reality is so much more liberating. I am my own boss right now, & I'm kinna loving it! Initially it was a scary transition, but I'm feeling positive about it all. I am in charge of my future...

I have been doing quite a bit of what I love most in this world which is ... travelling! Far & wide, to places I never thought I'd get to. Hong Kong, Vienna & blooming Azerbaijan to name a few! I have the most fiercest booking agents in the world, who have been booking all these weird & wonderful fashion gigs for me. All experiences I will never ever forget.

On a slightly different note, to anyone that has lost somebody close to them, my heart goes out to you. I've been through the worst this year, and subconsciously still going through it. Death is so final isn't it. There are no 2nd chances, no replays or recounts. It is just what it is... the end. I'm slowly coming to terms with that reality of late, & thats why I plan to live my life to the fullest.

So! I'm recording some demos in a weeks time & I plan to share them with you all very very soon. I want your honest, deepest & truest opinions, be it bad or good. The new material is a big move from the last album, so I hope you'll be moving with me :)
